Savings: $164.99 or 69%

Actual Cost: $75.29

Yep, I did it again. Over budget that is! The main thing that put me over was the 2nd round of Dr. Pepper ($12 total). However, I've said this before and I'm saying it again. I would much rather go over budget and pay $2.75 each rather than run out and have to pay full price $5.49. I'll make up for the overage on another week because we now have enough Dr. Pepper to last at least a month. Yay!

Deals of the Day 12/16

Here's what I came across today and there are some good ones. I hope some of these deals are helping you check off that Christmas list. Remember, Thursday (12/17) is the last day to order online and receive it by Christmas with standard shipping!

TODAY only, sign up for Snapfish and get 50 Free prints AND a Free Calendar. You have up to five days to use these credits.

For the guy on your list, get him this 4-pc Skill combo set from Lowe's. It's only $39 (retails for $129). Lowe's also offers site-to-store pick up so you can get FREE shipping.

If you have an iPod Nano you can get the Clear PowerSupport Skin Set from Amazon for $0.97 (inlcuding shipping). Best of all, you also get $5 credit in Amazon MP3 downloads. I don't have a Nano but I might order it just to get the $5 credit (still a $4 money maker).

Amazon also has the Flip MinoHD on sale today for $119 and FREE shipping. I would LOVE one of these! They are regularly $200, so this is a great price.

Deals of the Day 12/15

I know this is late but it's my birthday, so there! Ha! Actually I just got back from my daughter's school Christmas Program and wanted to take a minute to round up these deals that I came across this evening. Most of them will still be valid tomorrow so don't worry if you aren't reading this until Wednesday.

RedBox Rental Code: ACME26 Valid for a one-night rental. Must be redeemed at the RedBox location and not online. I ♥ RedBox!

Not sure if this one will be valid much longer but it's worth a shot. Prices online reflect a 30% discount + you can use code 111F3V9UV080247 to get another 15% off. Reports are that ALL orders ship for FREE! They are also giving out $25 in Gymbucks (to be redeemed Jan. 14-24) with every $50 purchase.

Walmart has Curious George: Very Monkey Christmas or How the Grinch Stole Christmas for around $13. Use the $3.00 off printables found here to get them for $10 each.

Amazon just keeps slashing prices on Toys. Check out this list of toys for GIRLS 50-70% off and this list for BOYS. Remember that many items ship free with a $25 purchase and you still have until Thursday to order and get it in time for Christmas!

Deals of the Day 12/14

I came across several good deals today. I thought I would put them all in one place for ya. Some of them would make great Christmas gifts for little to no cost to you. As always, if you are going to be shopping online, I encourage you to shop through a site like Cashbaq and earn money back on every purchase. Remember, they give you $5 just for signing up. Also, don't forget that Thursday is the last day to order online and receive your item by Christmas with standard shipping.

Ok, lets get on with the deals of the day!

You can still get your free 8x10 canvas print from Canvas People. Shipping is around $15 but you can earn $6 back using Cashbaq.

Old Navy has out a 30% off printable or a 20% off code (ONSAVE20). Earn 3% back with Cashbaq. You know you want some new PJs and Old Navy has the best!!

If you are shopping at JCPenney use code NICE4U to save $10 off your order. Don't forget that you can use the "Ship To Store" option to save on shipping.

Kmart has the Mr. Potato Head suitcase on sale for $10. You can use the $5 off printable to make this item only $5 and a steal!!!! I might just have to make the trip for this deal. All those pieces would fill up my little one's stocking for sure! They also have the Swing & Score Baseball toy for the same price.

Magazines can also make great gifts. All of the mags shown here are marked down and Amazon will automatically deduct $5 when you add it to your cart. My fave, Family Fun, is only $4.95 after the discount. While you are there check out other offers because Amazon has tons of items that ship free with a $25 purchase.

If gift cards are on your list this year, check out this post on which restaurants are offering extra perks.

Publix has Lunchables on sale for $1.00. Use this $0.55 off printable to get them for $0.45 each for some very inexpensive lunches. Oh, I wish I had time to get over there tomorrow!

I hope some of those deals help you check off your Christmas list! Let me know if you find another great special.

End of the Year FYI

Just an FYI memo for my loyal readers. Love ya!

The grocery deals this week are pretty lack luster and will continue this way probably until the end of the year. As I warned you before, it typically gets pretty slow this time of year. However, come January deals will be back in full swing! I hope that you have started to reap the benefits of stockpiling. If so, you should be able to get through these next few weeks with no problems at all. In the meantime, focus on all the great gift deals that are out there. You might want to even start thinking ahead for gifts that you will need for next year. I usually hit those 75% off sales pretty hard after Christmas.

Here are a few things to expect as we get prepared for the new year. There are no more scheduled coupon inserts until January 3rd. That means no more coupons will appear in your Sunday paper for 3 weeks. For me that means a chance to take a break and spend more time with my family during the holidays and less time clipping coupons. However, on January 3rd you can expect 5 coupon inserts in that Sunday's paper. I would highly recommend picking up several newspapers. Personally, I plan to buy 4.

Starting in January I will be back at it offering coupon classes at TDF. My first scheduled class is on January 9th. If you need a refresher or know of someone who would like to come, please forward this information to them. Remember, space is limited so you must RSVP to attend. If you would like to take it to the next level and learn the ins and outs of working the drug stores then contact me to set up a Drug Store Savings Workshop in your home. Recently, it has been brought to my attention that some of you would prefer a more hands on approach to all this couponing stuff. I am happy to accommodate those requests as well. You can now have a personal 1-hour consultation.

I hope all of you have a very happy Holiday season. Can you believe that Christmas is less than 2 weeks away? I have just a few more gifts to check of my list and I will be done. Yay!!
