Shopping Trip - Saved 72%

Thanks for stopping by! Make sure that you never miss a deal or update by becoming a fan on Facebook or following me on Twitter. You can also have deals delivered to your email inbox or RSS reader.

Here's what I bought this week. I purchased $194 in groceries for $54 at a savings of 72%!

WALGREENS & CVS: ($21.52) At Walgreens I had $10 in RR that were expiring. I decided to go ahead and bite the bullet for two boxes of hair color (4.99), soup (0.69) and Trail Mix (MM). At CVS, I just couldn't pass up the Pampers deal (3.97). Cheap diapers make great baby shower gifts! I will actually pull this out of my totals at the bottom since I have a separate budget for gifts but I wanted to show you what I found.
KROGER: ($35.55) I finally got around to doing the March Savings Event. I bought snickers (FREE), tortilla chips (0.29), lays (1.29), coke (0.46), apple juice (0.50), shredded cheese (0.67), hot dogs (0.75), chicken tenders (1.63), hashbrowns (1.29), provolone (0.97), canned tomatoes (0.24), pears (0.77 lb), apples (0.98 lb), gravy (0.45), bread (0.78), chicken (1.99 lb).
Ok, I couldn't resist those 0.29 tortilla chips so I went back for another round. I also got FREE vitamin water, cereal bars & margerine, mac & cheese (0.49), jelly (1.85), popcorn shrimp (1.99), milk (1.69), organic potatoes (1.69 - 3 lb).
FOOD LION: ($10.47) Not pictured is 6 packs of shredded Kraft cheese from last week's deals (0.42 each). Today, I bought milk (1.99) and clorox wipes (0.80).
GRAND TOTALS: (diapers have been removed from these totals)
Regular Price: $193.59
Savings: $139.22 or 72%
Actual Cost: $ 54.37

I was so excited to be back home and take advantage of the Mix & Match event at Kroger. My best find was the Tostitos chips with $2.00 peelies right on the bag! I also had some Clorox Qs that I was able to use at Food Lion. I was on my last bottle of wipes and very happy to score this deal! Since the Publix ad continues through next week due to Easter, I decided to skip them for now. Overall, not a bad week. What was your best find this week?

At Walgreens you need to buy any 3 participating products (Huggies inlcuded) and you earn a $5 RR. There are $3 Huggies printables available that you can use too. It makes the final cost about $4 a pack.
